Meet your therapist

Jasmine Chadha, CCC

Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)

I created Drop of Dew for people who are tired of being misunderstood, oversimplified, or reduced to a diagnosis. My work is evidence-based, but never mechanical. I draw on EMDR and Somatic Based Approaches while staying connected to the person in front of me.

Before I sat in a therapy room, I spent years on the front line of mental health. That work put me alongside people on their hardest days, in crisis, in hospital, in the middle of things falling apart. It taught me what training on its own cannot: how people actually cope when life becomes unmanageable, how quickly someone can be written off, and how much it matters to be met by someone who is not alarmed by you.

More than ten years in this field means very little of what you bring will be new to me. You will not have to soften it, explain it twice, or watch my face to see whether it was too much. When I say I understand that it is hard, I am not being polite. I have sat with what you are describing, and I know it is survivable.

I work in English, Punjabi, and Hindi. For many South Asian clients, that matters beyond language: it means not having to translate your family, your culture, or the reasons certain things go unspoken at home. You can bring all of it in the words it actually happened in.

You do not need to make yourself smaller, simpler, or easier to understand before you arrive here. You are not here to be fixed. You are here to be understood, gently and fully.

Curious how we might work together? Explore my counselling services or reach out with a question. I am happy to hear from you.

The approach

"Much like the dew in Marvell's poem, processing trauma asks for patience and care. We move at a natural pace, so your healing is as deep and restorative as the morning mist."

Therapy here is unhurried, gentle, and deeply respectful of your pace. We work to understand your nervous system, your patterns, your relationships, and your story, with more clarity and compassion than you may have been offered before.
